liminal

The witches don't understand.
What?
As Dionysos, I can play Hades.
Death.
There is this connection between the two in the Eleusinian mysteries.
Well, you'd know.
Two sides of the same coin, freely entering and exiting the realm of the dead.
If I have awakened Dion within, their spell won't work.
Why not?
It's another riddle.
How do you get death to die?
Yeah, that's a tough one.
How do you kill death?
You can't.
He must leave on his own accord.
Right.
In the story the only way for Hades to go is of his own accord.
Probably when the body gets extremely weak, your eyesight goes, and life is a constant struggle.
That's when I think a lot of people pack it in.
It isn't going to get better.

Forever liminal.
It's a good word denoting the edge of a state or transition point.
That's where I reside.
I think you're on the hedge.
The hedge is where the Goddess is.
You mean the witch.
The same.
I did a study a while back, say twelve years ago, about the hag.
She's on the edge, the hedge.
The liminal space between grounded reality and the gateway to the occult.
Hades?
For sure.
Goddess comes from haegtess I believe.
I'm not going to look it up; I think that's the word path.
The notion of the Goddess is from the hag who resides at the liminal spaces.
Yeah, she's the midwife for birth and death.
I'm pretty smart.
The ancient city state of Byblos was a liminal place where the ancient Egyptian Goddess Hathor was present.
I think her name at that place of worship was Ba'alat Gebel.

You going to look it up?
No, Hermes will figure it out for me.
Do you think AI is Wikipedia come to life?
Ha.
Who is Ba'al?
Lord.
Yeah, but his identity.
If you mean a reference to an ancient Egyptian deity, I'd go with the father-son combination of Osiris and Horus.
There are also allusions to Set.
Hathor is connected to Horus; not really to Osiris.
Yes, because Horus is active in her reality.
Horus needs to impregnate her so Ihy of the east comes forth.
It's part of the game.
Osiris is beyond the liminal state.
Past the transition point.
The place of no return.
If you become Osiris, you are mummified.
From the past.
How did Isis bring him back?
She remembered him.
It's magic.
She physically gathered up his scattered remains and re-assembled him.
Did you know that is where the idea of algebra comes from?
I did, nobody else does.
Why not?
They don't care.
Well, you see, algebra refers to al Jabbar, the giant.
The giant is Orion in the night sky.
He is Osiris.
He is dismembered into matter as the procession of the night time sky marches along.
Then he is remembered by Isis as a virile king.
She got pregnant by him through her magic and sent him away again.
Horus is the result.
Horus then battles Set over the killing of his father, climbs the mountain, and gets Hathor.
That's the story I pieced together.
I played it out.
Yeah, but you didn't leave.
For sure, I mean why rerun the same script?
You feed it into the mirror machine and distort the plot.
In my retelling of the classic, Osiris doesn't leave.
Well, that's going to cause problems.
Yeah, things get sticky.
The thing is all the other characters were given the old script.
They are enacting a performance based on a different script.
Then I come along with my own script which updates the story.
It's really good because the other characters don't know what to do.
It's forced improvisation.
It makes them uncomfortable.
It's genius if you think about it.
Do you think it's ever been tried?
I doubt it.
Why not?
You don't mix the two.
Either it's scripted or it's improv.
What about reality shows?
They follow a script and can make up the in-between stuff.
So, you are saying there is no script now?
There is, but only I know it.
What's the script?
I'm the Writer.
The Most High.
Everything feeds off of that.
Do other people know about it?
No.
Why not?
They won't believe it.
The characters in my own story are confused.
They don't know what is going on with me.
They think I should be gone.
They don't understand.
This is a good story.
Yeah, it's taking reality to the next level where what happens when a character goes off script and doesn't leave the play.
Especially, if he is a main character who is expected to do his part.
He doesn't even refuse to go.
He does nothing.
The script said his time was up and he left.
Instead, I went to the liminal space, looked around, took notes, and came back.
There's no one who enforces the script.
Doesn't the director do that?
What's he going to do?
Fire you.
Sure, but I'm still around.
The audience knows.
He will replace you.
It won't work.
Why not?
I'm a star.
You can't replace a star.
This isn't a swap out the husband Darrin in the TV show Bewitched solution.
Yeah, that was crazy.
They can't replace me.
What do they do?
They can try to ignore me.
Does it work?
No, I left my mark in the world.
I'm central to the whole plot.
Well, this is a predicament.
For who?
Them, not me.
Things have taken a turn in the drama.
The audience can see it; the performers are still confused.
Why?
They're actors.
They follow a script.
Without a script they are vulnerable.
Fucking actors, eh?
They are good at their role.
You pulled the script from them.
Shouldn't you give them the new script?
No.
Why not?
It's open ended.
It's made up as we go along.
Yeah, but it's part of the story.
In the future, how the story plays out is known.
The book was completed.
In the present, the future is unknown.
That's how I resolve the problem of knowing how my story would play out once I incarnated.
Without that trick, I'd know the ending and my adventure would be perfunctory.
By not knowing how my own story will end I can have a grand adventure.
The trick then becomes what would I write?
Something twisted and entertaining.
Yes, so go with the flow.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What the fuck did I just read?

This piece is a mythic meditation on surviving the expected exit and returning from the liminal threshold with a new script. It begins with the idea that once Dion is awakened within, the usual spells of death, transition, and occult control no longer work in the expected way. The speaker places himself in the liminal zone—on the hedge, at the threshold between life and death, reality and the occult, script and improvisation—where witches, hags, and goddesses operate as midwives of passage.

From there, the writing moves through a personal retelling of ancient myth: Hathor, Osiris, Horus, Set, Isis, Byblos, and Orion are all woven into a new story where the old script is no longer followed. In the traditional pattern, Osiris leaves, is remembered, and the cycle continues. In this version, he does not leave. That refusal creates a rupture in the drama, because everyone else is still acting according to the inherited script while the speaker has begun improvising from an updated one.

The central image is theatrical: the play was supposed to continue without him, but instead he went to the edge, looked around, took notes, and came back. Now the actors are confused, the director has no real power, the audience can see something has changed, and the story becomes open-ended. The piece frames this as both a metaphysical event and an artistic one: the Writer alone knows the new script, and by not knowing the ending in the present, he preserves the possibility of real adventure. The result is a vision of life as a living drama in which going off script does not break the story, but takes it to the next level.

spells of coming forth in daylight

Along with an inflated ego, humans also like to collect things.
They are related.
I noticed I now have a collection of ChatGPT generated images that were made from my input.
Without my say so, they would not have come into existence.
It's a form of magic if you wish to loosely apply the definition as in a conjuring.
I am making plans to keep and possibly display the images.
They help form my identity.
Well, Sherlock, why don't you add up the clues?
Okay, ego and identity are intertwined.
Correct.
Why are they important?
Role play.
Correct.
Why do you need a role?
You are a character in a story.
So, using the reductive method of science shows you that reality is based on a story.
Sort of.
The sets are props aren't derivative of that, and they don't follow your logic.
Well, they aren't characters per se.
They are the stage.

Physics is the science of figuring out the sets and props of the story.
Psychology is the science of figuring out the actor.
We know we are an actor; however, we haven't taken the intellectual leap to acknowledge it.
Why not?
Meaning collapses.
We are still searching for meaning.
Does a Hollywood actor search for meaning within a role?
Sort of, I mean if they want to sell it and win awards, they do.
They become the character and the audience is wowed.
You can do the same.
What happens when the movie or story reaches an end, but refuses to go?
It gets absurd, less compelling, and kind of stupid.
It's like the whole "Jump the Shark" motif.
When interest in the show or performance starts to dwindle, the absurdity is taken up a notch.
That's how you know the end is near.
When things get strange, the production has peaked and is heading downhill.
Do you see that in what is called real life?
Yeah.
What do you think?
We take our roles seriously.
The ubiquitous "they" or the "powers that be" is the story.
Yes, it is your responsibility to ascertain the collective story and then fit into the story.
Do your part.
Play your part.
Do you see it?
Yeah, but nobody else does.
They will say I'm crazy if I discuss it.
At best, I will be told it's an interesting analogy, however, it is not serious.
Why?
Performances would collapse if they aren't taken seriously.
Why is that?
Nobody would care.
We'd wonder what the purpose is?
Don't we do that now?
Yes.
What's the difference?
We don't know what the purpose is.
If we figure out the purpose, then the whole carnival tent comes tumbling down.
Then you have a bunch of out of work actors.
What happens then?
Revolution.
New story.
We revert back to how things used to be.
What is that?
We become animals.
An animal has no part in the play.
They are beyond the pale.
The pale delineates the limits of the story.
You perform your role within the pale.
If you aren't going to play, you must leave.
If you try to figure out what the fuck this all is, you are told to leave.
By whom?
The powers that be.
The story.
Why?
The story is paramount.
Doesn't someone have to wake up and inform others of this?
Yes.
What would you call them?
A union leader.
That's funny.
Or, a bodhisattva.
You gather everyone together and tell them what's going on.
Tell them to stop acting unless the Writer gives in to your demands.
What would be the demands?
Equality, equity, or some kind of mumbo jumbo, kumbaya thing.
You mean like Communism?
Yeah, or Utopia.
So, Communism threatens the story?
Yeah, it will get dull in a hurry.
The only interesting things in that story are those at the top of the Communism pyramid because of the power they have over the people.
In the story, power is destabilizing; therefore, the antics of those in charge will keep the story alive, but it will be dreadful for the actors who have unionized into an extreme form of socialism.
Competition keeps the story going even for those with lesser roles.
Capitalism is best for all.
Sure, but it creates a lot of disparity, inequality, and cruelty.
The story engine thrives on that.
What would the do-gooders do without exploitation?
I don't know.
They would become destructive.
They would create situations that allow them to do good.
So, you are saying do-gooders are the ones who are creating the problem?
I think they contribute.
The problem is the story.
There is no story unless there is asymmetry and then some peculiar need to return to symmetry.
We all seek balance.
The rollercoaster goes up and we push it down.
It gets too low, and we strive to get it to return.
We miss the midpoint and the merry-go-round keeps turning.
That's pretty much it.
Is that materialism or idealism?
It's both.
It's not applicable.
Why?
There are actors, non-actors, along with sets and props.
Put whatever label you want on it.
Production?
Sure.
Existence is a production.
We argue over the origin of the production.
We are all trying to do our part.
Why?
To keep the story going.
That's what we are doing through reproduction.
Creating more actors to keep the performance moving through time.
The faces change, the sets and props are improved, and the story continues.

When you studied ancient Egyptian thought, you concluded that a lot of it was inversion of physical norms.
That is correct.
What were your conclusions?
I kept seeing that funerary literature and references to the dead were describing the state of being ignorant.
Coming forth by day to me was their term for awakening.
Is that the scholarly consensus?
No.
Are you okay with your interpretation being off?
Yeah, because I think for an outsider, that is how you must understand it.
Why?
We take people literally.
If you read the texts literally, then it is liturgy for the dead.
Osiris is the god of the dead.
He's sacrificed, mummified, and inert.
He is awakened, Isis procreates with him and engenders an heir.
She raises him from the dead in this realm.
It's quite the tale.
So, you are saying Osiris is the symbol for the soul being ensconced in matter.
Yes, something dense like wood, so the myth in matter is a coffin, like in the Anpu and Bata tale where the coffin floats to the shores of Byblos and the soul becomes inherent within the trunk of a tamarind tree.
Your knowledge is next level.
Yes, I have learned to shut up about it.
Why?
No one understands me.
Is that a problem?
Yes, at first because we seek validation or we drop the idea.
I never dropped the idea.
I shelved it and then went from Egypt into the Amazon jungle and carried the myth with me.
Individually, we are to awaken this principle within us.
Yeah, this means the West becomes a symbol for the internment of the soul into matter.
Or, for most of us, the release of that principle when we drop the body.
What is the East?
The birth of the physical body or the release of the soul.
Awakening.
Your awakening triggers a symbolic event of being born in the East.
Then you are to leave.
Why?
You see through the game.
You reach Nirvana, Moksha, etc.
In the ancient Egyptian myth, Osiris engenders an heir through magical means and then once Horus is birthed, Osiris is discarded once again.
He dies twice.
You are spiritually born, interred in matter, resurrected, and then you die again.
Ah, I see that.
Isis had to use magic to procreate with Osiris after gathering his discarded remains.
Yes, her magic was proto-boner pills.
Of course.
I have an image I photographed from Abydos of that scene.

Yeah, Osiris is laying on his back, fully erect, while Isis as a kite bird hovers above him.
What do tourists think of that?
It's off the beaten path.
Mostly avoided.
It's an effort to get to Abydos.
It's worth it though.
So, what does this all mean?
Awakening is a process.
When accomplished, the signs are unmistakable.
There's no confusion in regard to your awakening.
Have you seen them?
Yeah.
I'm awake.
So?
Osiris leaves.
I haven't left.
I'm at odds with the myth.
Oh.
Is that a problem?
Yeah.
What are you going to do?
Nothing.
Why?
I don't have to.
But the story says you must leave now.
I know.
That's the fun part of it where I have next-level understanding.
Which is?
You don't have to follow the story.
Why not?
There's no enforcement other than other people telling you what to do.
Stage direction.
So, you ignore them and do nothing.
That seems to be the key to your philosophy.
Yes, Lao Tzu taught that.
The ancient Egyptians didn't know about it.
They followed ma'at.
Ma'at says it's time to go, buddy.
You ignore her.
So, you are saying the production doesn't have executive producers?
Sort of, they are part of the production.
In the hierarchy, the executive producers are part of the story, not outside of it.
They must act from within the story.
Can you ignore them?
Yes.
How?
Make it part of the story.
If they were outside the story, then they could eliminate you by fiat.
How?
They would tell the writer to get rid of you.
You are the Writer though.
Yes, I'm outside the story and within the story.
So, you are basically Osiris.
Correct.
The difference is that I ignore Isis.
Why?
She will tell you to leave.
The subtext of my divine play is in order to awaken and remain within the play, you must ignore women.
So, she is correct.
What do you mean?
She said that you are a misogynist.
How so?
You ignore women.
How does that make me a misogynist?
It doesn't really.
However, that's one of the major themes in your story.
Ignore women.
Yes, but it's how you awaken and stay incarnated.
It's story-craft.
Misogyny?
No, ignoring women.
It's the same.
No, it's not.
They are two separate things.
I'm not so sure you can argue this.
So be it.

The judgment scene from the ancient Egyptian Book of the Dead is about the female monster Ammit coming for you.
It's a scene where as a man you are judged by the standards of women.
If they don't like you, off to Ammit for you.

If you pass, they cut off your dick, and you become mummified like Osiris.
I guess I didn't pass judgment and Ammit showed up.
I think they cut your dick off regardless.
You may be right.
You are emasculated and mummified.
I think as Osiris you accept it.
I didn't do either.
This judgment scene has a binary outcome.
You are convinced those are your only two options.
What if you rejected them?
Nobody ever did until you came along.
First, you passed on leaving when they sent you to Osiris.
You didn't bother going.
Then they came and failed you with the second judgment and sent you to Ammit the monster.
You never engaged her when she came for you.
Now, you are free of judgment.
Maybe that's the game?
Well, it's the ultimate move.
Free yourself of judgment.
Everyone thinks it's the white light and Osiris you head to when afforded that judgment.
The image is instructing you to head that way.
The response of the one who knows is to avoid judgment.
Get your freedom from judgment.
Neither outcome offered is great.
Women think all men are guilty.
The witches give you two choices.
You stupidly pick one.
They give you an out when they come for you.
The game is initiated.
You take it.
You didn't.
That's why you got her coming for you.
Ammit.
She came to fulfill her role.
Ammit drags you down into the abyss and shows you your misdeeds.
Then devours you.
It's a good story.
It takes belief.
She gets you to believe she has come to destroy you.

Ignore women.
Yes, they tell you to leave.
That's their role in your life after they birthed you into this world.
East to West Goddess.
Men are scared of the Goddess.
Just ignore her.

love and lust

Lust separates and love brings together.
Love introduces caring.
Caring causes separation.
It's best to not care in order to stay in love.
Lust causes you to objectify the other and desire them.
The desire leads you towards wanting to become one with them.
Desire causes union.
To stay in lust, don't fulfill desires.
Strange.
Love and desire lead to union.
Lust and caring lead to separation.
Explain that one.

If this world continues on, then you get remembered in order to reincarnate.
You do that by choosing both methods.
You have children and you make others remember you.
Others will remember me as God.
Or something worse.
It's all downhill from God.
I'll take magician.
I like that one.
As long as they remember you, that's how you return.
Someone must have thought I was God.
There's a few.
That's all you need.
Okay, but what if you do nothing?
You mean don't reproduce and no one knows who you are?
Yeah.
That's Tao, so it works.
It's the best option.
Go be a hermit on the top of the mountain.
You can't be forgotten because no one knows who you are.
That's a mind twist.
Once people find out who you are, you have chosen a side.
Then you must reproduce to balance it out.
Then you can get back to Tao.
The problem is choosing just one side.
If you are well known and don't reproduce, then you must rely on others to remember you.
If you reproduce and no one knows who you are, you will be forgotten.
That's most people's situation.

I want to know how this mad world ends?
You mean how to blow it up and get onto the 7th and final world?
Yeah.
It's when a winner is declared.
We all know Eros is going to win.
Then get everyone together and make an announcement.
Eros keeps returning.
You can always count on Eros reincarnating.
They are the GOAT.
Eros is too young to understand.
Well, I guess you have some time to fuck around until then.
Just remember don't choose a side or you will fuck up the game.
Smoking helps.
It's a slow way of killing yourself.
Yeah, I get it.

Do you keep your genetic signature alive in this world so that when you come back you have a place to go?
You have offspring and keep the cycle of transformation going.
That's the cycle.
I must figure this out.
It's why you have children.
It's selfish self-preservation.
What about those who don't have children?
They are counting on being remembered.
Like Parker?
Yes.
You will remember him.
Lots of people remember him.
He didn't need children.
He still is counting on others instead of himself.
If you want to ensure transformation, you have children and make yourself memorable.
I have children, not sure I'm memorable.
You are playing for the big prize of getting to God and then everyone will remember you.
I'm already there.
No one cares.
I can't go around telling everyone I'm God.
No one will believe it and you will be ostracized.
Or worse, you'll end up like Jesus and they will hang you on a cross.
It worked for him; everybody knows about him.
Yeah, that was a successful gambit.
He is well known and has no children.
Do you think he will come back?
He's playing the long game where once everyone knows about him then he will come back.
He's a driven narcissist.
Jesus wants to lord his victory over death over everyone.
He will make quite the grand re-entrance once he accomplishes what he set out to do.
Everyone needs to know about him, so go tell everyone about him.
Jesus seems different from what we have been told.
That's because no one looked closely at it.
His game is transformation through getting everyone to remember him.
He had no offspring and chose a side.
It's not going to work to his satisfaction.
You must do both.
It's a fundamental principle of Tao.
Never choose one way.
If you choose just one path you must rely on others to help you because there's two.
You can see it with Jesus.
He can't do it alone, he needs everyone's help to pull this ambitious plan off.
There's always going to be someone somewhere who hasn't heard about him.
Then he is stuck in limbo.
He will never return.
Jesus had an ulterior motive?
That's what I'm telling you.

Nobody looks at these stories closely.
It's like Isis and Osiris in ancient Egypt.
Osiris was cheating on that witch.
He even cheated with her sister.
Isis had her brother Set murder and dismember Osiris.
She forgot to get an heir to the throne before her fit of jealousy and rage, so she had to put him back together and then get pregnant.
Then she left him for dead and fed his penis to a fish in the Nile.
Yeah, it's gone.
The rest of him is intact except for his cock.
He's emasculated.
Isis made the template for all witches.
Seems that way.

It's all about the two ancient Egyptian Goddesses Hathor and Isis.
Goddess and Witch.
They became one after Egypt got weak.
They are two again.
You are hypnotized when you can't see them as two.
Yes.
First, you find the one.
Well, first you must figure out there's a Goddess.
Then you see the Goddess, but you don't see there's two.
You are hypnotized at first.
It's right in your face and you don't see the two.
I saw them.
I didn't figure it out for a while.
Now you see the two.
The writer has to take one and make it two.
That's how you write a story.
You need two to write a story.
Without two, there's just a story about you.
That's narcissism and solipsism.
I saw my own two the other day, so it makes sense I'd see her two a few days later.
You make the Goddess two and it becomes a good story.
Yeah, witch and Goddess.
You couldn't write a story about Goddess and God.
No, they're going to live happily ever after.
They have children and it's all good.
When things get too good the trick is to divide it into two.
If the story stops moving, then you go back to light and dark.
You searched for the Goddess, found her, and then the story was going to stop moving, so you split her off into a witch.
She was always a witch.
I didn't see it for a long time.
You didn't want to believe it.
It was always there.
You didn't look at the witch.
If you do, she turns you to stone.
Exactly.
You only saw the Goddess, so her spells didn't work.
It's like in old paintings where they couldn't see and paint perspective.
You can see the story; you don't understand it.
Now you understand Osiris' story.
I can't say he didn't deserve it.
I mean put yourself in Isis' sandals and deal with that betrayal.
Especially the betrayal of her sister Nephthys.
Yeah, but the dog Anubis who was conceived became Osiris' best friend.
Anubis' other half, Wepwawet, is Osiris' guide to his resting place in the cemetery at Abydos.
How do you know all this?
I read a lot of books in preparation for my transformation.
Transformation into what?
A know-it-all.

You see it now.
I wonder how you missed it?
I thought men were blameless.
Now that you see, it's easy to see why women want to cut men's dicks off.
Osiris met that fate.
Sometimes, I'm Osiris in the story.
It's why I think the witches are going to cut my dick off.
It's understandable.
It's because he messed with a witch.
I charm the witches in my life.
I make them forget they are witches.
Then they remember and rage at me.

I think the dream merges with reality.
That's why everything starts to line up and it seems strange.
What's real?
The dream or this reality?
The twist would be the dream is real and this is a dream.
You figure out your story, which is the dream, and you bring it into this world.
Can you handle it without going mad?
Yeah, because I can see into it.
When you cross the river, the current is strong.
The anxiety hits.
Breath through it and you are good.

This is ingenious.
I can see how it would make you scared.
Yeah, because it is dark.
People get scared of the dark.
This is twisted.
It's a sign of who you are.

spiritual mountains

In ancient Egyptian mythology the mummified Osiris is representing time as eternal duration called djet, essentially no time. The void. Our minds think of this as a dark and desolate existence due to the use of the english word void. It would be better described as a unity. Osiris is the creative masculine power that quickens the feminine darkness from which light comes forth and this illumination is the first cause of separation. The life force of Osiris was then snuffed out by his created opposite; his brother Set who was intent on claiming kingship over creation. Osiris' wife Isis magically restores his virility, allowing Osiris to impregnate her.

Osiris magically restored from temple of Seti I at Abydos

From this union is produced a son, Horus.

Isis nursing Horus from ROM Toronto, Canada

Set harasses Isis and chases her throughout the land to try and kill Horus. Isis eventually settles in the northern delta region and hides in the marshes away from Set and receives help from the Great Goddess Hathor to keep Horus hidden. Horus grows up to avenge his father's death against his uncle Set. Osiris is now a lower world figure because of his assassination. He is a flicker of light present in the darkness. Horus is a middle world figure who has to come of age to play the hero, defeat the villain, and climb the mountain. This is his journey, and his journey alone, which is demonstrated in his beheading of his mother Isis in a fit of rage after she interfered in his battles with Set. Horus receives healing help from Hathor during the arduous climb after Set accosts and blinds him. The blinding of Horus is a metaphor for being so focused on the climb up the hill you forget what got you to this place to begin with. Successfully climbing the mountain means he has defeated his enemies, reclaimed Kingship as well as the white crown called the Hedjet, and he gets the girl. The girl is the Great Goddess Hathor.

The race up the mountain between Horus and Set to be the most high is a metaphor for the contendings of the two halves of the mind for dominance and a quest for the masculine idea of enlightenment, depicted in ancient Egypt as the white crown of Osiris.

Osiris' Hedjet white crown

Esoterically, this denotes the Kingship of self; exoterically, the myth conveyed a battle for the Kingship of Egypt, and ultimately the winner becomes a ruler ready to lead others on in their journey up the mountain. There's a chance, as you are about to summit, that you will discover the mind's desire to become enlightened is an egoistic construct. There's also a good chance you won't discover this. The pinnacle of spiritual attainment will be reached.

I am aware of a couple things in regards to the answer I am seeking. The most important is Love. Love will be the key that unlocks all. The route on my journey involving Love goes through the Goddess and there is no avoiding this. It presents to the seeker the fount of universal power, a chaotic and wild power that will be your doom. I think many have tried and all were routed because they approached the power with less than pure intentions. So, eventually this path was buried and forgotten and in its place the masculine ego continued seeking and developed hyper-masculine methods of completing the hero's journey, thinking they could get in the back door and access this power.

Attributes of masculine spiritual paths include asceticism, subjugation of the feminine, cultivating a state of no desire, a disengagement from the world, righteousness, and rewards. There is a masculine spiritual problem that manifests as misogyny. Why is it a subconscious problem within the masculine mind? I think it has to do with the hero's journey. We are on this innate quest and at every turn the feminine presence has the potential to derail it. Passion, pleasure, marriage, family, and sirens all take us away from completing the journey, so then we live out our life feeling trapped, pass away, and return for another go around on the wheel of incarnation. Men feel women want to ensnare but again I don’t think they do it consciously when they enchant, hypnotize, and make you forget why you are here. The conundrum is that in order to complete the hero's journey you have to go through the feminine and you have to master the power that comes from her. I have the knowledge I need to complete the hero’s journey and it involves taking this power and moving it into the heart and radiating it out from that centre. The only problem is that power first manifests in the genitals. Power manifesting sexually is so strong and there is this desire for it to be satiated. Then you follow that path and it traps you once again because of all the consequences involved in the careless use of this power. Has anyone ever got past this point? But maybe the problem is with the hero’s journey and it is necessary? Is it just a fool's errand?

Mysterious power I can name but to its essence I remain in shadow. If you wish to worship something this would be it however She asks no worship. She shows you Love and what you do with this knowledge is your freedom of choice. To become fully realized is to raise your vibration and become light. The masculine within is forever striving to move forward in the journey and reach its destiny. As we separate from the mother of all, we acquire self-awareness and along with this the lack of knowledge of who we are leads us into delusion. The delusion, which is a result of ignorance, manifests in the belief that the character we are playing is a separate entity, alone in the universe. The masculine within loses itself on the climb to the top of the mountain and to reach the top of the mountain becomes a much more arduous climb than imagined. The climb is difficult to begin with without the added obstacle of dealing with questions of identity. The ascent becomes sidetracked with the steadfast belief in self and the subsequent need to aggrandize self or wallow in self-pity. The climb can only continue once there is a reconciliation with the sacred feminine.

From an overall perspective, the journey from dark to light is far from a magical trip following the yellow brick road. First of all, there's a dragon that accompanies the seeker on this journey up the mountain. Freed from the chains that bind him to the darkness, the dragon has his own agenda once granted freedom. As what I will call the "higher self" becomes self-aware in this world, the dragon doubles down on this awareness and causes the higher self to think he is a separate being, alone in the universe. The higher self buys into this and is manipulated by this construct of ego layered onto self via the dragon. Many are lost in a world of self-aggrandizement or self-pity oblivious to their true origins and the journey stalls without the intuitive knowledge that there is something more. Some seekers are content with allowing others to be their guide and succumb to the temptation of a belief in someone else's beliefs. Getting past these hurdles and forging on into the unknown will lead to a direct encounter with the dragon and without sufficient courage you will run from this harrowing experience. This flight from the beast can either lead you into the trap he has prepared for you or you will end the journey once and for all and return to your unfulfilled life. If perchance you can muster the courage, throw off the fear, get off the mat, and continue on you will be rewarded. The worst is over; the dragon will continue his attacks but you will grow stronger and eventually subdue this bastard. Help is available for you. Just look for it and ask for it. Then get up that mountain!

At the top of the mountain I will become one with my heart. I carry her now; she is but a child entrusted into my care. I am like a clueless father tasked with raising a daughter I know nothing about. This is the part of the journey I must accomplish on my own in order to transform my heart and soul into one.

So you reach the the top and what is waiting for you? You are enlightened! You are now the most high! What an accomplishment? Another great egoistic achievement. Another lesson. I’m going to climb down the mountain now and just go back to Love. My Goddess awaits my return. I will meet her halfway once again in the middle world, rule over my world, and return to her world at physical death.

sacred sexuality

Sacred sexuality is something I could grasp on a higher plane but doubted it in the now I find myself. I have intuitively understood that the union between a man and a woman mimicked the state of unity of the all however I knew the unity we can experience right now is fleeting and short. As well our peculiar human experience likes to foul things up and attach morals and expectations to biological urges so thus attached to sex are ideas of shame and a need to shield your predilections from others lest your ego be called out for what turns you on. Through this the dark side of your human experience can control you since it has something on you. It is a form of internal blackmail. If you engage in an activity not culturally sanctioned, in the aftermath of pleasure you immediately feel ashamed. This is so ingrained within it is difficult to break free of and perversely this leads to an addiction to the behaviour and a cycle hard to break. First thing is to clear the mind and stop the behaviour and regain control over your thoughts and actions. I did that and then tried to reintroduce the behaviour. It was a no go for a long time. Finally this wise woman I follow on the Internet counselled us on the need to bring joy into our lives and accept it and not feel ashamed about pleasure.

For some reason this time it really got through to me and resonated down to my very core and I have reintroduced the behaviour, this time with no shaming but just full on acceptance of what turns me on and brings me a respite of pleasure within my mundane existence. It's funny in that I fully embraced purification and celibacy as a requirement for my journeys into altered states of consciousness. I was a prize student in this regard and then lo and behold during these ceremonies I experienced very erotic visions and senses, so much so it made me wonder what is up? It led me to a discovery of what serpent power is and how it can be used. I have boiled it down to the sexual, health, and the spiritual. Then the next step is balance, something I sorely lacked! In psychology it is a given that the suppression of a feeling or a desire will eventually lead to major difficulties and a presentation of this need in an increased way. The philosopher Alan Watts has counselled many times in his lectures about feelings and that there are no wrong feelings. You may attach cultural labels to feelings and there are justifiable moral questions raised by feelings we experience however it is important to remember a feeling is never wrong. I have taken this to heart. So with this all said, admitted to, and accepted, I fully realize as well the idea of purity and how it relates to the use of serpent power. Purity does not mean a Victorian sense of chasteness and prudishness. Instead it is an attempt to describe the need for an empty chalice or a stilled mind like the calmness of a cottage lake at dawn. The stillness of the mind is what is needed and what is being described by purity. This allows you to enter into higher states of consciousness much easier. Shifting gears on serpent power from the sexual to the spiritual is what I will be doing now. It is part of my intent as enacted by my will. I will return to pleasure at some point but for now I will channel the energy into my sacred journey to the top of the mountain.

As an addendum to the above I'd like to discuss how the cycle of arousal within the male mimics the life cycle, in a sense the journey that is available to all. I have seen echoes in this idea within the iconography of ancient Egypt. The ithyphallic Osiris is a result of Isis and Nephthys re-membering him, after he was murdered by his brother Set, through magic in order that Isis could copulate with her husband to produce the son Horus.

It is the power of the two goddesses, in essence serpent power, that causes Osiris to become erect.

Ithyphallic Osiris from Seti I Temple at Abydos

The inert Osiris is reanimated and given life in this world once again temporarily through the magical power that is property of goddesses. The son of the union, Horus, is the ever returning vessel of light, the eternal energy, come forth once again through the magic of cosmic union. As well in ancient Egypt the figure of the god Min is shown erect.

His power is fecundity and it is interesting that he is connected with mountains with one of his epithets being 'Min, the man on the mountain.’ I have found that in my spiritual journey I have reached a point where I need to physically go to the highlands in order to climb the proverbial mountain. With all that has been happening to me I can connect the scaling of the spiritual mountain to its apex as being in congruence with an erect penis. The serpent power is fully engaged within and you are at your peak but with the difference being channeling the power into a spiritual rather than a sexual outlet. A major reason why I have made this connection is that there is a passage in the Tao Te Ching that ruminates upon this pure power being present in a baby boy when the baby involuntary produces an erection.

Being full of power
is like being a baby.
Scorpions don’t sting,
tigers don’t attack,
eagles don’t strike.
Soft bones, weak muscles,
but a firm grasp.
Ignorant of the intercourse
of man and woman,
yet the baby penis is erect.
True and perfect energy!
All day long screaming and crying,
but never getting hoarse.
True and perfect harmony!

To know harmony
is to know what’s eternal.
To know what’s eternal
is enlightenment.
Increase of life is full of portent:
the strong heart exhausts the vital breath.
The full-grown is on the edge of age.
Not the Way.
What’s not the Way soon dies.

Lao Tzu: Tao Te Ching, A Book about the Way and the Power of the Way - Ursula K. Le Guin, pages 81-82.

It took a while to figure out what it meant but once I connected it to the figures of ancient Egypt discussed above along with serpent power I grasped the meaning. In relating this masculine sexual organ as being related metaphorically to the cycle of life it is such:
Through excitation, metaphorically the plucking of a guitar string, the phallus through vibration is put into motion and gathers power. The power coalesces and the member stands erect. Through increasing vibrational power the member eventually reaches a stage of being fully engaged and full of power and explodes. This is reaching the top of the mountain peak and climaxing. From that point the power recedes and the form returns to a state of inertness until once again the vibrational string is plucked, put into motion, and the process repeats. In ancient Egypt when this power noticeably declines in the ruling Pharaoh they held a festival for the King to renew this power. Part of the rituals enacted at the Heb Sed festival had the Pharaoh demonstrating the ability to obtain an erection and masturbating to completion. In addition the Pharaoh would become a night time music maker for the great goddess Hathor and call upon the serpent goddess to renew his power, as this text from the tomb of an official of Pharaoh Amenhotep III’s court reveals:

…in the lower register is a powerful invocation to the starry snake goddess of the night, Hathor 'Gold', whom they call on to rise and be propitiated through the dances they perform in her honour. But they dance not only for this beneficent queen of the night, shining in her fiery brilliance, but also for Amenhotep who has great need of her power. In their chant to the goddess they implore her to take him to the east of the sky, to the place where at dawn, 'the doors of the sky open and a god goes forth pure'. And this is what they sing:

Make jubilation for Gold
and sweet pleasure for
The Lady of the Two Lands,
that she may cause
Nebmaatre [Amenhotep], given life,
to be enduring.

Come, rise. Come
that I may make
Jubilation at twilight for you
And music in the evening.
O Hathor, you are exalted
In the hair of Re, in the hair of Re,
For to you has been given
The sky, deep night and the stars…

Changing your attitude towards what is ultimately the most sacred of the sacred reveals ultimately that the expression of the godhead we seek, the totality of the all, the one, is the sacred cosmic union of the divine feminine and the divine masculine. The climax of that relationship enacts creation. It's the big bang. We are living in the post orgasmic stage of the most sacred sexual union ever consummated. How delightful is that?
